Explore the Coba Ruins, Dive into a Cenote then enjoy a Traditional Mexican lunch!
The ruins at Coba date back to as early as 50 BD to 100 AD. To read more about the Coba ruins visit our information page. http://www.adventuretourcenter.com/
After picking up in Tulum, your Coba Experience will kick off with an explanation of the Coba site from a local Mayan Guide. You’ll visit ancient pyramids and temples, as well as a marvellously preserved ball court. Which rivals that of Chichen Itzá.
Once you’ve spent some time exploring the ruins. You’ll take a rickshaw or bicycle ride through the jungle to visit the Nohoch-Mul pyramid. This is one of the few pyramids in Mexico where visitors can still climb to the top! Guests are advised to wear comfortable footwear, as there are 120 very steep steps leading to the top of the pyramid. Visitors that are brave enough to make it to the top of Nohoch-Mul, will experience some amazing jungle views. It’s well worth the climb!
Climbing up the ruins at Coba, will definitely work up a sweat. So, your next stop on the tour is an off the track Cenote where you’ll be able to cool off before lunch. The bravest of you will be able to jump into the Cenote from the 30 ft (9m) platform that has been constructed just for people to take the plunge! For the less adventurous guests, there is also a 15 ft (5m) platform and we won’t tell anyone if you just want to get in without jumping.
You’ll have worked up a serious appetite after all the climbing and jumping. Before heading back to Tulum, you’ll fill up on a traditional Mexican lunch!
